What we fix tonight

One call covers the whole break-in: the glass, the door, the frame and the board-up. No need to call three companies.

Board-up and securing

Glass smashed and you can't fix it tonight? We cover the opening with solid plywood and screw it tight. Your home or shop is locked up, dry and warm until the new glass is ready.

from $395 — night call-out included

Broken home windows and patio doors

Cracked, smashed or shattered glass in windows, patio doors and glass doors. Simple glass we can often replace the same night. Double- and triple-pane glass is made to size. For those, we make it safe tonight and come back with the new glass. We'll give you the date when we order it.

Shop fronts, glass doors and office glass

Smashed shop window or glass entry door? We secure it tonight so you can open tomorrow. We work on storefronts, office glass and building entrances downtown, in the Beltline and across Calgary.

Kicked-in doors and split frames

A forced door usually splits the wood frame and rips out the strike plate (the metal plate the lock goes into). We rebuild the frame and fit a heavy-duty strike plate. In most cases, the door closes and locks again that night. If the frame is rotten or too damaged to repair, we'll tell you straight and quote a new one.

If the lock itself is broken, we'll tell you right away and help you get it replaced.

What happens when you call

  1. Call or text a photo.

Tell us what broke and where you are. A photo helps us bring the right materials.

  2. Get a price and an arrival time.

We tell you the price and when we'll be there — before we drive over.

  3. We make it safe.

We clean up the broken glass and board up or secure the opening, so your place is safe for the night.

  4. We finish the repair.

We come back with the new glass or door parts and finish the job. You get photos and a written invoice for your insurer.

While you wait: stay safe

  • If someone may still be inside, or anyone is hurt, get out and call 911 .
  • If the break-in is over, call the Calgary Police non-emergency line: 403-266-1234 . Ask for a file number. Your insurer will want it.
  • Try not to touch anything the intruder touched until police say it's okay.
  • Keep kids and pets away from broken glass. Put on shoes.
  • Don't pull loose glass out of the frame. It can drop and cut you. We'll take it out safely.
  • Take photos of the damage before anything is moved. They help your insurance claim.
  • If it's cold or wet, close the door to that room. Roll a towel along the bottom to hold the heat in.
